BlueActionAA’s vision
BlueActionAA’s vision is to set up the foundations for others to thrive and act as a multiplier for others to maximise their impact. Our success is measured in the impact achieved by projects funded through BlueActionAA.

To effectively contribute to addressing challenges for marine and freshwater ecosystems, in support of the Mission Ocean “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030”, European Green Deal and international climate initiatives.
BlueActionAA will achieve this by ensuring the successful delivery of a diverse range of cascade grant funding calls, demonstration of individual funded project success and the collective benefits and impact achieved through an effective leading of the project. [WP1 LEAD-Project Management and Coordination]

To foster mutual growth, innovation, and accelerate the progress of BlueActionAA and its funded projects through the activation and acceleration of Mission Ocean communities of actors through joint activities and shared resources. [WP6 CONNECT-Project clustering and networking]

To maximise the reach and influence of BlueActionAA and its funded projects through dynamic dissemination, exploitation and communication activities, ensuring that the projects using the integrated research infrastructures can support Mission Ocean, delivering on clear targets for protecting and restoring ecosystems and biodiversity, for zero pollution, and for moving towards climate-neutrality, within the EU’s ocean, seas and waters. [WP7 PROMOTE-Dissemination, Exploitation and Communication]
TO THIS END, BLUEACTIONAA HAS THE
FOLLOWING EXPECTED OUTCOMES:

Demonstration of measurable, verifiable and ambitious progress towards reaching one or several interlinked objectives and targets of the Mission “Restore our Ocean and Waters by 2030”, as set out in the Mission Implementation Plan through implementation of effective and well-managed community-led pilot actions and other types of support to Mission communities of actors.

A concrete contribution to support Member States/Associated countries, their national, regional and/or local authorities, as well as all concerned stakeholders, to implement EU legislation related to marine and freshwater ecosystems, and reach the biodiversity, pollution and climate targets of the EU Green Deal.

Mobilised and engaged Mission communities of actors (regions, ports, cities, islands, etc.) through effective support designed to accelerate the progress to achieve the Mission objectives and targets;

To facilitate smooth and timely access to technical assistance for funded projects [WP4 ASSIST-Empowering needs driven technical assistance].

Increased readiness at local level to deploy at scale innovative solutions to restore the ocean, seas and waters.
Expected outcomes (EOs)
ACT-AA will ensure broad participation, leveraging local knowledge and fostering long-term commitment to ecosystem protection, thus contributing significantly to the European Green Deal’s biodiversity, pollution, and climate targets.
This European project is supported by a strong consortium whose partners bring complementary expertise.
